MGB GT built for classic rallying. All modifications and bodywork carried out by
RJ Engineering.

This car was built for a customer who supplied all parts to us to convert the vehicle. It was unclear what direction the car was going till well on in the build and the car was eventually left to us to sell for classic rally use as he moved on to an Escort.
The conversion included all new tele shocks, sump guard, exhaust, plus other small changes. An engine from a chrome bumper car was provided for us and that was fitted along with new clutch. Bodywork was very good on the car. All we were required to do was remove the bumpers and fit front and rear Sebring valances and paint. We also fitted a light bar and period Lucas 20/20 100w driving lights. The interior was left pretty much standard apart from the addition of MX5 front seats for more support and an earlier steering wheel. Three point competition belts were fitted alongside the standard items for use during the off road stages. We also fitted a rear roll cage, again supplied by the customer and a fire extinguisher. We added a Brantz trip and alloy footrest for the navigator. Shame he never got to use it as it made a very tidy little car.
The car was sold and is currently being used for classic rallies. We were told by the new owner it won the class in the classic rally series in 2016.
