A rare 1957 series 2 Sunbeam Rapier
rally car renovation project. A good
sound car to begin with, so not a
lot of bodywork to contend with.
Fitting new seats, wheels, belts,
and navigation equipment as well
as tidying the body.
We are keeping the original
engine and transmission for the
classic rally events.

We have since this photo
replaced the aftermarket
filters with the original
filter assembly. The engine
is now standard except
 electronic ignition for
reliability.

Better seats and full harness safety belts fitted.

Handbrake moved to centre of car.

New steering wheel and navigation equipment
fitted and all working ready to rally

Original radiator
shown here was
past its sell by date,
so we have fitted new
alloy version.

 Specification includes: sump and tank shields, competition seat belts, rear roll cage, safety cutout, brand new digital clock, Brantz double trip meter and GPS speedo.
Five brand new alloy wheels and tyres plus standard steel wheels.
New alternator, alloy radiator, electronic ignition, H4 headlights and spots.
New GAZ twin tube rear adjustable shockers fitted. Fire extinguisher, Mountney alloy steering wheel. Fitted with later 4 speed 4 syncro gearbox. Standard 1500cc twin carb. cast head engine, runs sweet. Car is ready to rally in class 1 CLASSIC rallying pre 1960. Car is very sound condition, body and paint is very good. Nice colour scheme.
A few further mods have been done since the photos above.
An enjoyable project, looks very smart and drives well.
